METAL BRACES

Metal Braces

Orthodontic work is crucial for correcting a host of misalignment and malocclusion problems that you or your child might be facing. While there are many options available in terms of corrective appliances, the most common are metal braces. For years, metal braces have been the signature option for correcting teeth and getting them into perfect alignment. Metal braces are also ideal for patients of all ages and we here at Perspective Dentistry will be more than happy to work with you to get your smile beautiful.

What are Metal Braces?

Metal braces contain a variety of wires and brackets that work by forcing pressure on the teeth and moving them. Along with a comprehensive orthodontic plan that is specific to you, the brackets and wires are placed in a way that will work with each tooth to correct its alignment. The system works well and has been used for years with fantastic success. Because of this, most patients choose metal braces when they are in need of orthodontic treatment.

When are Metal Braces Needed?

Metal braces may be needed if you have orthodontic problems or issues with dentition. Oftentimes, older kids, teens and adults don’t have perfectly straight and aligned teeth and because of this metal braces are a viable option that work well long-term. Some of the reasons you may need metal braces include:

  • You have crowded or misaligned teeth
  • You have an overbite, underbite or open bite
  • You are unhappy with your smile
What to Expect with Metal Braces
